Meet the Founders
Meet Sarah Swan and Jeremy Burn, the guiding hands behind Homey. Sarah is a seasoned chef of many years, whose career spans iconic kitchens such as The Bayswater Brasserie and Bather’s Pavilion in Sydney, followed by a 14-year tenure with the Rockpool Group.
Jeremy cut his teeth working with vineyards and wine brands in New Zealand, then later joined Auckland’s Hipgroup, which managed several top-cafés and restaurants.
Sarah’s culinary expertise & Jeremy’s hospitality business background form the perfect blend of food-first values and a vision to deliver quality with ease and joy.
More than a decade ago they opened a Byron Bay restaurant built on simple, seasonal food and shared tables. That same philosophy shaped Bay Grocer, and now is the heart behind Homey - chef-made meals, cooked in small batches, with all the warmth of home cooking and none of the washing up.
