Our Story
We are a take-home meal company built around good food and even better times.
Our chefs cook fresh, seasonal meals right here in the heart of Byron Bay, then pack them up ready for you to heat, eat, and enjoy at home. No stress, no dishes, just honest food made with local ingredients and plenty of care. We believe dinner should feel like a hug - comforting, wholesome and shared with the people you love. From slow-cooked favourites to vibrant salads and hearty curries, every Homey meal is made to make life a little easier (and a lot tastier).
Because eating well shouldn’t be hard. It should just feel… homey.
Meet the Founders
Meet Sarah Swan and Jeremy Burn, the guiding hands behind Homey. Sarah is a seasoned chef of over 25 years, whose career spans iconic kitchens like The Bayswater Brasserie and Bather’s Pavilion in Sydney, followed by a 14-year tenure with the Rockpool Group.
Jeremy holds a Business Studies degree in marketing and cut his teeth working with vineyards and wine brands in New Zealand, including a management role at Stonyridge Vineyard on Waiheke Island. He then later joined Auckland’s Hipgroup, which managed several top-cafés and restaurants.
Together, Sarah’s culinary expertise and Jeremy’s business and hospitality background form the perfect blend: a team rooted in food-first values, dedicated to creating meals that are both delicious and thoughtfully produced in Byron Bay.
